2 leaves, 123, [1] pages, folio (36.5 x 24.8cm), engraved throughout, dedication, table of cantatas and privilege (dated 1710) at end, SIGNED BY THE COMPOSER ON THE TITLE-PAGE, manuscript inscription to title ("à Mademoiselle De Nannes"), contemporary calf, fragment oflower outer corner of pp.47/48 loose between pp.48 and 49, browning to a few pages, small tear to lower margin of pp.81/82, damp-staining to upper margin between pp.70 and 88, binding somewhat worn but sound
Between 1710 and 1726 Clérambault published five volumes containing 20 cantatas, in which he achieved the fruitful union of French and Italian styles for which he is famous.
