modelled as a standing boy in lavender knee breeches, loose white flowing open shirt, green fabric sash, open salmon-colored waistcoat and black cap, the monkey seated on a pillar or rock, shield mark in underglaze-blue,incised letter Q, gilt numeral 41., numeral 57 or 65 in puce
