Each pencil drawing a half-length image of Frankenstein’s monster, each with added pencil colour and some annotations at foot of each sheet; [with] a scan of a letter of provenance from animator Dennis Hunt, (302 x 400.5mm.), some minor light creasing on corner of one sheet

These four original preliminary production drawings were done by animator Dennis Hunt. In the accompanying letter Hunt recounts “The transition from Frank to John [in the film Yellow Submarine was originally long – but it looked grotesque. We cut it down to just two drawings and put lightning flashes and alternating B/Gs [backgrounds] on..”
