RARE (not traced in Worldcat). Rosenberg (1858-1929) was descended from Horatius Ginzburg, a prominent Russian-Jewish banker in St Petersburg, who counted Turgenev as a friend and was his executor (see lot 67). The family also owned numerous gold mines. This tract relates to the crash in the silver market that began in early 1893 and its effect on the global financial markets.
