A pair of French bronze chenets, 19th century
of Régence design, cast with rearing horses supporting cartouches, on moulded plinths with leaf cast scrolls and masks, on scroll feet
each: 42cm. high, 25cm. wide; 1ft. 4½in.; 9⅞in.
With Paul Farnham, Bath, 1995.
A pair of chenets after a similar model was sold at Christie's, New York, Segoura, 19 October 2006, lot 63.
