rectangular with slightly waisted sides, the lid and base decorated with a flower bouquet in two-coloured gold piqué point, framed by shells and leafy strapwork in piqué posé, the sides inlaid with trelliswork and scrollwork angles, engraved gold thumbpiece, apparently unmarked

7 cm., 2 ¾ in. wide
