The IWC Tribute to Pallweber, introduced in 2018, is a limited edition of 500 pieces commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Schaffhausen-based brand. This wristwatch is a reimagined version of IWC’s most iconic pocket watch, the Pallweber, which was first developed in 1884. Inspired by advancements from Salzburg-based watchmaker Josef Pallweber, the original pocket watch was groundbreaking for displaying hours and minutes with large numerals on rotating discs.
Reflecting the original digital display, this modern edition features three apertures: hours at the top, minutes in the center, and small seconds at the 6 o’clock position, all perfectly aligned. The stainless steel case, shaped like a pocket watch, has a 45mm diameter and added wire lugs, while its 12mm thickness ensures a contemporary look and feel on the wrist.
