of circular shape, depicting in the centre Chronos on a dragon-drawn chariot, surrounded by scrolling foliage, inset in a later ash wooden frame and base, with one frieze drawer above three supports mounted with gilt-bronze, joined by a triangular plinth, first half 19th century

Purchased during a visit to Italy by Eric (1786-1848) and Aimée (1791-1855) Grand d'Hauteville in 1820;
