modelled standing nude with a fig leaf, holding aloft an eaglet in his right hand while caressing the feathers of Jupiter in the guise of an eagle at his side, upon a rockwork mound base

This biscuit is modelled after the marble sculpture of Ganymede and Jupiter, with Jupiter in the form of an eagle at his side, carved by Benvenuto Cellini (1500–1571) around 154–1550, today conserved in the Bargello Museum, Florence.
