The present Tortue Monopoussoir belongs to the highly acclaimed Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP), a series created to celebrate Cartier's most important historical designs through the use of traditionally crafted mechanical movements and faithful reinterpretations of the maison's iconic references. Inspired by the original Tortue first introduced in 1906, the model retains the collection's distinctive curved tonneau-shaped case, widely regarded as one of Cartier's most elegant wristwatch designs.

Powering the watch is the celebrated calibre 045 MC, a monopusher chronograph movement developed by THA Ébauche, the renowned movement workshop founded by François-Paul Journe, Denis Flageollet and Vianney Halter. Combining exceptional horological pedigree with the timeless elegance of the Tortue case, the present reference is regarded by many collectors as one of the finest and most desirable watches produced during the CPCP era.
