Sotheby’s is proud to offer this New York Knicks Championship Banner signed by Hall of Famer Willis Reed, a cornerstone of both Knicks NBA Championship teams. Reed’s most iconic moment came when he emerged from the tunnel at Madison Square Garden before Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals, playing through a severe thigh injury. He electrified the crowd by sinking the Knicks’ first two baskets, setting the tone for a victory that secured the franchise’s first NBA title.
