FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR, 8vo, half-title, later blue morocco, original wrappers bound in, slight foxing and soiling, original upper wrapper re-attached with tissue repair

Inscribed by the author in his trademark red crayon on a preliminary blank: "A mi querido Jorge con un abrazo fraternal de Federico 1921-1931 | Madrid." The recipient was Lorca's friend the Colombian writer Jorge Zalamea—the dedicatee of Section Three of the book—making this a quasi-dedication copy. There have only been two inscribed copies at auction since 1974.
