Inscribed by the author to the Shiffolds "with love from Morgan". The identity of the recipients remains obscure but, given the warmth of the inscription, they were presumably well known to Forster. Contains "a Flood in the Office" in Part IV (which was expurgated from later editions). Includes a WW1 poem critical of Churchill and the war in general on p.31. Not in Reilly's bibliography of WW1 poetry.
