Strong competition for works from the 20th Century Design auctiondrove the sale to achieve a result in excess of 2,600,000 USD. This auction presented a broad range of decorative arts and design spanning the last 100 years. The 4 March auction was led by a “Conoid” Dining Table by George Nakashima which fetched 87,500 USD – far exceeding its presale estimate of 25,000-35,000 USD. The auction realized strong prices for works ranging from French Art Nouveau to Contemporary Design.
