Literature
Martin Eidelberg and Nancy A. McClelland, Behind the Scenes of Tiffany Glassmaking: The Nash Notebooks, New York, 2001, pp. 164-165 (for closely related examples documented on pp. 72-73 and 77 of Leslie Nash’s glass notebooks)
Condition
Overall in very good condition. With a few minute air bubble and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not at all visually detracting. The neck of the vase with a few minute flea bites. The vase is hand blown and therefore is not perfectly symmetrical and leans to one side very slightly. A very nice example distinguished by the unusual and graceful silhouette and decoration. The pulled feather decoration is beautifully rendered, showing the superb control and skill of the gaffer.
