Our New York sale of Important Americana realized strong prices in a variety of categories including prints, Chinese export porcelain, silver and carpets. The sale was led by A Rare and Important Eider Drake circa 1900, which achieved $767,000, soaring above the high estimate of $500,000. Other highlights include The Important Asa Stebbins Federal Inlaid and Figured Mahogany Tall Case Clock, which sold for $185,000 and A Rare and Important Canvaswork Picture worked by Anna Woodbury (Swett) from Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1748, also achieving a price of $185,000.
