Three hand-colored engravings, etchings and aquatints, circa 1834, by R. Havell, on wove paper, each laid down, partially trimmed and framed (3 prints)

Condition

The Canada Warbler: With wide margins, the colors are slightly attenuated, the sheet is unevenly discolored, partially trimmed (approximately 1 inch both vertically and horizontally) and laid down. There is time stain at the extreme sheet edges and two fox marks, one in the image and one in the top right corner of the sheet. Bachman's Warbler: With wide margins, the print is in generally good condition with slightly attenuated colors. The sheet is unevenly discolored, partially trimmed (approximately 1 inch both vertically and horizontally) and laid down. Time stain at the extreme sheet edges and occassional foxing. The Ruby Crowned Wren: The image is in good condition, margins trimmed (approximately 2 1/8 inch vertically and 1/4 inch horizontally) and the sheet is laid down. The extreme sheet edges are foxed, four fox marks appear in the margins and uneven areas of surface soiling in the left margin.
