Krug 1966 Lot 8635: Scuffed and bin soiled label, scuffed and slightly corroded foil, Lot 8636: u. vts, slightly soiled label, slightly worn and damaged foil48% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay, 21% Pinot Meunier and 23 crus. In 2016 and with Olivier Krug (this is his birth year!), there is heather on the nose, together with saline notes. Green tomatoes, nougatine and peanuts on the palate, finishing on lemon notes - there is a lot going on here. So finely balanced and harmonious. Terrific stuff.
