Working on a concept means stretching it, making it understood differently. It means resituating it from its place of origin. It is the opposite of tinkering about inside a pre-existing schema. It is to criticize the idea of a stable state. [...] The stable state is a cultural danger, the alienation of creativity. The artistic endeavour should rather be seen as an open space, where nothing is certain, where everything is always engaged in a process of re-conceptualization. It's a work of questioning, more complex than that of certain artists who have found a formula and unflaggingly repeat it.

This work is registered in the artist's archives under inventory number bv98s17. This work is eligible for a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist upon request from the buyer.
