The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some scattered small spots and lines of retouching in places, the most prominent of which is a 2cm-long spot of retouching to the centre of the lower left quadrant. There are some fine lines of slightly raised craquelure in places, and some scattered areas of paint shrinkage. There are a few scattered small paint losses to the top layer of paint. The canvas is slightly undulating in places, inherent to the artist's thick application of paint. This work is in overall good condition.
