描述

Château Cheval Blanc 1962 St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A)u. ms, label nicked and badly damp stained, Calvet neck label, Grants of St. James slip label, corroded short metal capsule32 hl/hectare made. 11.7% alcohol. Deeply concentrated, roasted, rich aromas of quetsch (mussel plum), with an excellent fresh oranges taste - intriguing, bright and with a very elegant texture, a 1962 signature. In 2008, we found a bottle in our cellar. It had an amazing nose of redcurrant jelly and a rich bramble jelly taste. As David Peppercorn said succinctly, 'a terribly satisfying wine', especially with rare sirloin beef and a baked potato! The spicy aromatics just run all through it.
