Ten decades of First Growths, Super Seconds, Classed Growths and top Right Bank wines from landmark years showcase the brilliance of Bordeaux. Some 34 lots of the outstanding 1982 vintage, 73 lots of the 2000 vintage, 137 lots of the 2005 vintage (including an array of six-litre Imperials) and 201 lots of the 2009 vintage, reflect the breadth of the sale. Nestled among this spectacular range are rarities such as Trotanoy 1945, Latour 1947 and Petrus 1961, and the trio of Lafite, Latour and Mouton 1970 – perfect for 50th birthdays next year!
A rare case of La Tâche 1985 leads the Burgundy selection, which also features La Tâche 1999, Clos de Tart 1999 and Musigny 1999 from JF Mugnier. The 2005 and 2015 vintages are well represented by myriad producers including Faiveley, Fourrier, Jean Grivot, Robert Groffier, Anne Gros, Perrot-Minot and Ponsot. A selection of DRC and de Vogüé from the 2013 vintage is also noteworthy.
