Condition

There are a number of loose elements of the sideboard, notably at the back of the upper section, the panel on the reverse, and the front left hand door. There are a number of cracks between wooden panels, in particular to the short sides and around the base. Several of the boards are bowed. There are chips and flecks of loss to the paint surface throughout. One of the drawer handles on the right hand drawer is missing. The painting on the inside of the reverse panel is slightly scuffed in a number of places with one or two minor losses. There is some later felt drawing on the inside of the right hand door. The doors and drawers do not open smoothly. There is surface dirt, staining and surface matter throughout. The work is freestanding.
