拍品資料及來源

This spoon is part of the so called 'Escallop Group', as titled in the collection of H. D. Ellis, Esq. which was sold by Sotheby's in November 1935. At this time the maker's mark was attributed to Poole by Sir Charles Jackson although in the latest edition of his book, Jackson's Silver and Gold Marks, he attributes the mark to Gloucester due to the amount of local church plate bearing the same mark in the area.
