Condition
Canvas is original. The canvas undulates very slightly in places, most evident towards the corners. There is one tiny fleck of loss just below the centre of the central white form. Subject to the above, the work appears in overall excellent condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a small number of localised areas of fluorescence and probable retouching, including a horizontal line towards the upper edge, a short, thin vertical line to the upper part of the left edge, a spot to the extreme left edge in the black pigment, and a thin horizontal line towards the right of the lower edge.
