Condition
The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher. There are four pin-head sized spots of surface dirt in the upper left quadrant of the composition, as visible in the catalogue illustration. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals an even layer of residual varnish and no visible sign of retouching. This works appears to be in good original condition and could benefit from a light professional clean if desired. Presented in a decorative gilt frame. Greens are softer and colours are overall less saturated in reality than in the catalogue illustration.
