Condition

The support consists of two vertical panels joined to the reverse with a slight convex bow. The reverse of the panel was once cradled but this has now been removed. The paint surface is secure and generally in good condition under a thick glossy varnish. There are some old scattered in-filled losses visible in the tree trunk on the left and some old retouching work is visible along the panel join. Inspection under UV light is hampered by the varnish but some minor scattered retouchings are evident and the aforementioned work does fluoresce. Offered in a carved wooden frame in good condition, glazed.
