This work is overall in very good condition.The base is not totally flat where the borders are slightly stained. There is a minor glaze loss below the Chinese character at the backside. There are slight crackles along the inner rims of the mouth.

除以畫布與紙本為媒材，朱德群在陶瓷藝術上的創作亦有成就。其以國際抽象大師的身份，結合西方油畫﹑東方陶瓷兩大元素，文化含義深遠。以陶瓷為媒材，不僅使他的作品從平面走向立體，更在藝術上進一步靠近中國。除了因為陶瓷是中國的古老發明，還繼承了元明清以來青花和彩瓷的美麗繪飾。明末清初的八大山人，長期活躍江西一帶，他的不少作品便受景德鎮民窰風格的影響；清末民初的珠山八友，更是致力以瓷畫追求「揚州八怪」風骨的畫家團體；2007年，朱德群應法國國立賽芙爾陶瓷廠（Manufacture nationale de Sèvres）邀請，花了兩年時間繪畫一批國寶級瓷器，並於2009年在法國吉美博物館展出，引來連番轟動，三者並讀，可見瓷器的可塑性在中國畫家的參與下不斷提升。《清》作為一件可以兩面創作的器皿，其一面畫上朱德群的抽象繪畫，另一面則寫上朱德群的書法，展露藝術家畢生兩大長技，誠為「中西合璧」的精彩範例。
