This work is overall in good condition. Paint losses due to natural wearing are visible across the surface, particularly at the tip of its left feet and the left and right points of the skirt tail, while dark accretions possibly resulted by aging process are found across the painted surface . Natural oxidation is available across the sculpture surface. There are minor pink marks at the left forearm of the sculpture.

快意迴旋

「人間」是朱銘雕塑創作中醞釀時間最久、可塑性最高的一個系列。回憶1980年，朱銘隻身前往紐約，由於語言不通，雖身處國際大都會，卻益發顯出了自己的孤寂；也藉著這般孤獨，他能夠無拘無束地漫遊在紐約街頭，猶如局外人般觀察社會百態，在人與人的對應與自我對話間，感受到存在於生活本身酸甜苦辣的各種情感，讓他創生了無事不可作題目、無人不可當主角的「人間」系列。

放下「鄉土」系列的民間回憶、「太極」系列的招式形意，「人間」從生活中的尋常人物入手，找尋純粹而恒久的普世美學。經歷二、三十年的嘗試，該系列作品從初始的冷靜旁觀，逐漸變得開朗活潑、溫情洋溢，完成於2006年的《裙的故事》，作為「人間」的一個子系列，作品捕捉了女性穿上裙子後的動靜面貌，而這件作品在同系列中，尤其顯得四肢頎長、身軀舒展，份外活潑輕盈：搖曳的裙擺、飛躍的姿態，凸顯了女性在現代社會中的自由無憂；青銅的軀幹和臉孔，渾樸沉厚，代表前代風格的繼承；加彩的頭髮和衣飾，鮮艷奪目，渲染了角色愉快的心情，亦一改觀眾對於銅像以及朱銘作品的慣性印象，體現突破常規的後現代主義藝術精神。
