「繪畫模特兒的時候，動態是非常重要的一環，即使模等兒靜止不動，亦必須為其賦予動感，否則姿勢將顯得生硬造作。若模特兒以右腳為重心，則其相應之右臀將比左邊稍高，這時若把左肩擺高，則兩組動作便會構成對比，從而產生動感；模特兒直視會令姿態僵硬，除非其肩膊同時轉向相反位置。在指導模特兒擺姿勢的時候，尤要注意其雙手位置，它們起著增強或削弱動感的關鍵作用。」
