This February, Sotheby’s will hold the fourth edition of the highly successful Now! auction. Centered on high quality art at accessible prices, the sale presents a range of pieces from our Contemporary, Design, Photographs and African art departments. This year, we will be working with the publishing house We Do Not Work Alone, linking art with daily life, and their distinctive vision will put the spotlight on a selection of works in the sale.
Established collectors looking to add interesting pieces to their collections, and first time buyers looking to decorate their homes will have the chance to acquire some fantastic pieces by recognised names, as well as cutting-edge art from exciting emerging artists. The art on offer will be curated with today’s generation in mind, attracting a wide, global audience. Artists such as Andy Warhol, César, or Joseph Beuys will be featured among beautiful photographs by Erwin Olaf, Robert Mapplethorpe and Bill Henson, as well as sought-after design pieces by Marc Newson, Warren Platner, Jean Prouvé or Piero Fornasetti.
This sale is a unique opportunity for collectors to engage with art. Throughout the week, several exciting series of events will take place around the sale, including the Art After Hours soirée on 22 February, and talks by our specialists.
We do not work alone is a publishing house created in Paris in 2015 by Anna Klossowski, Charlotte Morel and Louise Grislain. It publishes in limited editions everyday objects conceived by artists, producing each series under the artist's direction. It releases a catalogue of these usual objects, that become out-standing thanks to the artist’s gesture.
