Throughout their lives, Richard E Lang and Jane Lang Davis shared a deep commitment to supporting their community, promoting the arts and collecting great artworks. In this episode of Expert Voices, learn how the Lang Family assembled an important collection of 20th century art, spanning from Surrealism to Abstract Expressionism and beyond. This May, a selection of works from the collection is being sold in Sotheby’s Contemporary and Impressionist & Modern Art sales, with the proceeds going to support the Friday Foundation. Among the works is Francis Bacon’s powerful Study for Head from 1952, as well as striking examples by artists including Alberto Giacometti, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, and Hans Hoffman.
