This January, Sotheby’s will be offering twelve remarkable works as part of The Theiline Scheumann Collection during Masters Week 2023. Featuring artists such as Frans van Mieris the Elder, Jacob van Ruisdael, Willem van de Velde the Younger and more, this collection unites some of the greatest 17th century Dutch painters and each piece boasts an impressive attention to detail. Amassed over a two-decade period, Scheumann has assembled a remarkable assortment of landscapes, seascapes, urban views and still lifes. The live auction of the Dutch Masterpieces from the Theiline Scheumann Collection will be held at Sotheby’s New York 26 January 2023.
