The Arresting ‘Exploded’ Ceramics of Artist Bouke de Vries

Meet Bouke de Vries, the celebrated Dutch artist whose arresting ‘exploded’ artworks are made from fragments of broken antique ceramics. A spectacular bespoke installation by de Vries will greet visitors to Showroom | The London Edit - Sotheby’s new exhibition space showcasing exciting property by leading designers, artists, craftsmen and makers, available for direct purchase outside of the traditional auction calendar.

De Vries’ creations will be offered alongside works from renowned gallerist Adrian Sassoon’s stable of leading artists, including Kate Malone, Hitomi Hosono, Michael Eden and Junko Mori. Their work will be presented alongside exceptional jewels, watches, fine art and design, selected by Sotheby’s specialists.

Showroom | The London Edit opens on Monday 28 September at Sotheby’s New Bond Street galleries.
