Friends with René Magritte and Paul Delvaux, Oscar Mairlot belonged to a unique generation of Belgian art lovers who championed modern art. Together with his son, he lovingly assembled a collection of Belgian Surrealism, Flemish Expressionism and the international avant-garde. Our upcoming sale Works from the Oscar Mairlot Collection: From Magritte to Zao Wou-Ki (19 October | Paris) takes place during FIAC, the International Contemporary Art Fair in Paris.
