On May 3rd Sotheby's hosted a panel discussion to commemorate the unveiling of our reimagined and expanded New York exhibition galleries at 1334 York Avenue. Watch award-winning architecture critic Paul Goldberger join Sotheby's Chairman Allan Schwartzman and lead architect Shohei Shigematsu of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in an exploration of the history, design, and transformation of Sotheby's New York galleries. With 40 galleries of varying sizes spread across four entirely remodeled floors, Sotheby's headquarters has increased its exhibition space from 67,000 to more than 90,000 square feet of premier commercial space for viewing and acquiring fine art, precious objects, luxury goods and more. We invite you to come see the new galleries and explore the works of art on view, including selections from Sotheby's May exhibitions and auctions of Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary Art
