Masterworks: Sanyu’s Sleeping Beauty

Set to the words of poet Xu Zhimo, who deeply admired the artist, this short film celebrates Sanyu’s depiction of his sleeping muse and his enchantment with the female figure. ‘Nu Endormi’ is one of Sanyu’s great artistic creations and a highlight of Sotheby’s upcoming Modern Art Evening Sale (31 March, Hong Kong).
