Alberto Giacometti and the Dawn of Post War Sculpture

Deputy Chairman of Modern Art, Sharon Kim contemplates Alberto Giacometti’s masterpiece, Trois Hommes Qui Marchent (Grand Plateau), 1962, delving into the process and inspiration behind the work. Conceived in 1948, Trois Hommes Qui Marchent, is not only a seminal piece within Giacometti's body of work, but within Post War art as a whole, and is a visual encapsulation of man emerging from the horrors of the Second World War.
