Established in 1988, Christopher Farr has been at the forefront of contemporary rug design for 30 years, and has incorporated and commissioned designs by some of the most recognisable British artists of the past century, from designs by the Omega Workshop through to contemporary artists such as William Turnbull, Gary Hume and Howard Hodgkin. Sotheby’s is delighted to be displaying a selection of rugs by Christopher Farr alongside our September Made In Britain auction, open to the public from Friday 14 – Monday 17 September. Here Christopher picks out some of his favourite works from the sale.
