Sotheby's July sale of Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art presents a striking selection of Pre-Raphaelite works on paper. From Arthurian legend to Greek mythology, this diverse collection offers works by some of the most prominent and exciting members of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood and their circle; including Rossetti, Sandys, Solomon, Hughes and Burne-Jones. Their style bold and novel, their work simply visionary; the Pre-Raphaelites brought romance, decadence and vivid colour to nineteenth-century English art, and was the avant-garde movement of the period.
