On 4 December, Sotheby’s and Sentient Jet welcomed guests to a lunch in honor of the (RED) Auction, with proceeds going to the fight against AIDS. For the third iteration of this sale, which has been curated by Sir David Adjaye and Theaster Gates, contemporary art and design will be auctioned by Sotheby’s during Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami on the evening of 5 December, as well as online from 12 November–7 December. Ahead of the auctions, Sotheby's hosted a lunch at neighboring, modern Italian eatery MC Kitchen. Preceding lunch, (RED) co-curator Theaster Gates spoke about his work in the sale, then Contemporary art specialist Isabella Lauria led a tour of the exhibition, presented by Gagosian at the famed Moore Building.
