Sotheby’s welcomed 300 guests to the Leela Palace Chankyapuri in New Delhi on Friday where they had the opportunity to view highlights from the upcoming New York sale of Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art. The auction, which is on 14 March, features works by some of the most pre-eminent creators of South Asian art, including Raja Ravi Varma, Maqbool Fida Husain and Francis Newton Souza. The masterpieces on show were complemented by the band Shadow and Light, who entertained guests while they enjoyed champagne and canapes that were provided throughout the evening. Thank you to North India Sotheby's International Realty and BMW Deutsche Motoren for their partnership and support. Click ahead to see highlights.
