In collaboration with Allan Stone Projects, Sotheby’s will host an online-only auction that showcases the remarkable range of the Allan Stone Collection. Stone was one of the earliest supporters of giants such as Willem de Kooning, Joseph Cornell, Arshile Gorky and Wayne Thiebaud, as well as lesser-known artists of significant talent, including Steve Durkee, Wayne Nowack, Dennis Clive and many others. The online-only sale represents the breadth of the collection from abstraction and figuration to sculpture and assemblage. Select works will be on view at Sotheby’s while the larger preview of the sale will be presented at Allan Stone Projects in New York from 27 November through 10 December.
