C ollectors’ Week returns to Abu Dhabi this December, bringing together Sotheby’s most ambitious program in the UAE to date. The week-long series will feature six auctions spanning fine art and luxury, alongside exhibitions, events, and masterclasses across Saadiyat Island.
A landmark addition to this year’s programme is Breaking Ground, Sotheby’s first-ever international fine art auction in Abu Dhabi. Celebrating the emirate’s pioneering cultural vision, the sale will showcase works by leading international, regional and Emirati artists, including Andy Warhol, Fernando Botero and Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim, with a particular focus on women artists and new voices making their auction debut.
Public exhibitions open on 4 December, with auctions for jewelry, watches, handbags, cars and bikes taking place on 9 December, followed by Breaking Ground on 10 December. Together, the events position Abu Dhabi at the center of the global art and luxury calendar, held alongside Formula 1 and the opening of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.
