Henry Moore: Monumental Nature at the Story Café
In celebration of Henry Moore, one of the most important British artists of the 20th century, Kew Gardens presents Henry Moore: Monumental Nature – a landmark exhibition that explores the artist’s lifelong relationship with the natural world.
Extending beyond the Gardens, we invite you to join us at the Story Café. Take a moment to enjoy a glimpse into the exhibition, Moore’s artistic vision and his enduring legacy.
Henry Moore: Monumental Nature traces the breadth of his six decade career, from monumental outdoor sculptures to intimate drawings, models and sketchbooks. The exhibition reveals Moore’s deep fascination with natural forms, from bones and stones to driftwood and shells, bringing landscape, material and imagination together in powerful harmony.
Sotheby’s have enjoyed a long history with Moore, through which we have been privileged to gain a deep appreciation and understanding of the artist’s life and work. We are proud to continue our relationship through sponsorship of the largest outdoor exhibition of Moore’s work to date.
