Exhibition Overview
Auguste Rodin, The Age of Bronze, 1877, bronze.
The special exhibition "Perfect Poses?" Focuses on a crucial period in the history of the sculpture, where the struggle between the idealized and the realistic expression was on. This expression is clearly reflected in the form of sculpture that emerged in the 19th century Paris.
In the exhibition you can see selected major works of great French sculptors like Carpeaux, Degas, Rodin, Maillol and Dalou. The sculptures each offer unique aesthetic experiences and range in material choice from white marble over patinated bronze to turmeric terracotta.
