X perience Digital Art Auction brings together a curated selection of digital art using cutting-edge technologies from AI-generated art and holograms, to generative art responding to the foreign exchange market. Each departing from different inspirations and experiences, the sale presents influential names in the virtual space and new projects by artists exploring digital art within their existing practices. These artists include MonoC, the first virtual human and artist; Jacky Tsai, Nick Teeple, Mankind, Grant Yun, William Mapan, Sophia Hotung collaborating with Sophia the Robot, an AI, and more.

Appointed Digital Art Fair’s Digital Artist of the Year, Jacky Tsai is recognised for his inventive fusing of imagery from western pop art references with symbolic references from traditional eastern art. The London-based Chinese artist has propelled to the global spotlight of digital art, bringing his most iconic imagery, the floral skull, to the metaverse. In Athena and Buddha, the images of Athena and Guanyin are switched in real time according to the exchange rate of the Hong Kong dollar against Euro. Most ambitious, the artist will be presenting his first immersive room, titled Jacky Tsai’s Golden Years, bringing together a decade of his work.
A tightly curated presentation of four lots selected by NFT Asia, an open and inclusive community centred on uplifting Asian and Asia-based artists and creatives from around the world. Founded in March 2021 by a team of artists and arts workers, NFT Asia have built a wide-reaching community of more than 3,000 members on Discord and extensive following on Twitter. Lots include creations by Reuben Wu, Shavonne Wong, Grant Yun and Willea Zwey.

Blurring the lines of real and virtual, physical and digital, these artists draw from myriad inspirations, backgrounds and technologies seeking to take digital art to a new level. Sophia Hotung, the illustrator behind the much-loved The Hong Konger, collaborates with Sophie the Robot, an AI. The first virtual human and artist, MonoC is the brainchild of Gusto Collective. Stanley Wong, anothermountainman, recognised for his blue, white, red series, turns to digital art to pay tribute to his heroes of the past forty years. Nick Teeple explores materiality and perception in his surreal imagery. Henry Chu takes the national flags of every country in the world and created more than 10,000 flowers, generating a new world map.
