S otheby’s is delighted to present the Living Contemporary auction, taking place in Cologne. The sale combines exciting discoveries from the categories of contemporary art, prints & multiples, photography and 20th century design.
Featuring locally renowned and international artists, the auction is led by a beautiful example of Thomas Struth’s museum photographs, the captivating moment of art works and viewers, followed by Cologne-based artist Andreas Schulze represented with one of his outstanding and powerful large-scale paintings.
Furthermore, the auction is complemented by works from rheinish artists such as Heinz Mack and Rosemarie Trockel, popular multiples from Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter to Christo & Jeanne-Claude and Tom Wesselmann, sculptures by Jonathan Meese, Stephan Balkenhol und Jörg Immendorff set in context with classics of design by Tom Dixon, Carl Auböck und Shiro Kuramata.
