I t is our great pleasure to close the 2023 Spring Wine & Spirits auction series with our ever-popular Finest & Rarest Wines live auction.
On Monday 3rd April at the HKCEC, we will be offering this exceptional group of consignments from many of the leading cellars in Asia, which have been built over many years upon allocations of the wine world’s rarest, cult names. In particular, this sale sees incredible representation for Domaines Leroy, d’Auvenay, Romanée-Conti, Bizot, Rousseau, Leflaive and many more. And that is only the Burgundian unicorns!
We also find extraordinarily rare back-vintages of Rhône starlet Château Rayas in full cases, pristine bottles of Krug Clos du Mesnil and Clos d’Ambonnay from the 1990s and before, and First Growth Bordeaux from the very best vintages of the last 7 decades, including 1961, 1970, 1982, 1989, 1990, 1996 and all of the modern 21st century greats.
Amongst this veritable treasure trove, it is difficult not to single out the amazing parcel quantities of full, original cases of 1970, 1975 and 1989 Petrus – some of the most legendary editions of this wine, so rarely seen together in full 12-bottle cases these days. As always, this eclectic and exciting sale offers wines that are perfect for drinking now, as well as wines to age for decades more – equally attractive to established collectors looking to replenish their long-gone favourite bottles, as well as new collectors looking to build cellars for the future. Happy bidding!
