S otheby’s presents a carefully curated selection of iconic works by the legendary artist Christo, all exhibited within our London galleries this summer. Coming directly from the artist’s estate, this expansive collection of works date from 1964 through to 2018 and spotlight the instantly recognizable and stunningly encapsulating technical drawings of the artist’s renown ‘Wrapped’ projects, which methodically capture the intricate designs for wrapping large scale objects. Presented within the selection is the exemplary The Mastaba (Project for London, Hyde Park, Serpentine) which is arguably one of the artist’s most important works, based on the final outdoor project to be completed in Christo’s lifetime, shown in London in 2018.
